Question by Vlad s: I hate ironing clothes do steamers for clothes work well?

I hate ironing clothes, especially Dress Shirts, and Slacks. So steamers for clothes work well or its more of a hassle then its worth?

Best answer:

Answer by voicefromparis
They only steam, they do not finish the shirt or pants. So if you want to look like your just hung your clothes in the bathroom while showering, go ahead. Noting works better than an iron and on a dress shirt and slacks, the difference is very noticeable.

Question by customer4444: Are Steamers a Replacement for Irons for Pressing Clothes?

Am I better off using a steamer or using an iron to keep my clothes looking great? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

Best answer:

Answer by *Sombra*
Not a replacement, no … but many clothes don’t need to be ironed and a steamer will work just fine for smoothing out wrinkles. They’re easy to use.

If you want a really crisp, sharp look to your clothes, you’ll need an iron for that. You’ll also need to learn the proper technique for using one … if you’ve never ironed before, it’s easy to burn your clothing if you aren’t careful!

And the hardest wrinkle to iron OUT is the one you accidentally ironed IN!
